RevHeadz

RevHeadz is an app that will allow you to listen to very realistic representations of the engine sounds of different vehicles. From the app you can control gear changes, the brake pedal, and the accelerator pedal. Depending on which controls you touch, you can hear how the engine reacts, while also being able to see the tachometer and engine load. If you are not careful, you may even start to see smoke coming out of the car.

From the main menu of RevHeadz you will be able to see all the vehicle packages you have purchased. The free app only comes with the starter package, which includes nine vehicles with their respective sounds. However, from the app itself you can buy more than a dozen additional packs, with lots of additional vehicle sounds.

Within the free sound pack you will find a wide variety of vehicles, with several sports style cars and as many motorcycles. You'll even be able to rev up and listen to a chainsaw. For licensing reasons, none of the vehicles have the actual name, but all have a name that is similar enough to make it obvious. This way, you'll know exactly what every car and motorcycle you test sounds like.

Once you have chosen a vehicle, you will be able to access its control panel. From here it is possible to turn it on and off, change gears, accelerate, and brake. At all times you will be able to check how the tachometer reacts, being able to see and hear how fast the vehicle is revving.
